The shoebill, also known as the whalebill, whale-headed stork, & shoe-billed stork is a large long-legged wading bird. It derives its name from its enormous shoe-shaped bill. It’s an ideal before/after a gorilla trekking safari in Uganda & or before/after your flight at Entebbe Airport.
The trip starts/ends in Entebbe but with provisions to start/end in any other places like Kampala, Wakiso, Masaka to mention but a few.

After an early morning breakfast transfer to Nakiwogo for taking a ferry across to kasanje & or take the roundtrip around to kasanje via Kawuku to proceed to mabamba swamp for a shoebill stock tour. The tour involves peddling & trekking the shoebill stock. It’s an elusive however Mabamba wetlands is credited for being one of the popular place that you can see the shoebill stock in her wilderness. After the shoebill stock trekking & Birdwatching trip transfer back to Entebbe marking an end of the trip. End
